Community Partners

Nonprofit community organizations may be eligible to employ Augustana students through the Federal Work-Study Off-Campus Program. All or a portion of the pay will be covered by the college.

Organizations interested in participating should contact Augustana Student Employment to begin a conversation about program eligibility, potential positions, and the partnership process.

How Augustana Supports the Process

Augustana Student Employment will coordinate the administrative process, including:

• Reviewing the organization and proposed position for program eligibility
• Creating and posting approved positions in Augie Works
• Recruiting students and sharing qualified candidates with the community partner
• Coordinating student selection, hiring, and required employment paperwork
• Managing timesheet and payroll processes
• Providing ongoing guidance throughout the partnership

Community Partner Responsibilities

Community partners work with Augustana to develop a meaningful position, participate in candidate selection, provide day-to-day supervision and training, communicate performance or attendance concerns, and verify that reported work hours are accurate.
